Dr Ong is a practising medical officer and a trainee in the Family Medicine Residency programme of the National University Health Systems. She became a youth advocate for TFGi in 2013 when she was in the first-year of her medical school. Since then, she has been nurturing multiple batches of youths, transforming them to be eloquent speakers for better TFGi education of their peers.

A photography enthusiast and former student correspondent for the Singapore Press Holdings, she produces official TFG videos and has written multiple newspaper articles for the local Chinese newspapers.

She became a senior TFG Faculty in 2018 having taught TFG internationally in the Philippines, Abu Dhabi, South Africa and Malaysia. In 2021, she became the Programme Director for the Raffles Institution TFG-GAP Semester programme.
